Taking my data for which they still expect me to pay for

I took out a new contract from cell C about two years ago (061 number).

It was for a Samsung S6, 1G of data per month and an additional 2 G of night data (monthly).

In July I got a call from their retention department informing me that I am due for an upgrade on my phone. When I declined the offer, they offered me the same data package for R75.

In August I noticed that I am not getting my night data. I logged a call on 18 August. Customer care initially advised me that there is no department that can work with this issue. Neither they nor the retention department wanted to log the call initially and the one kept on referring me to the other until I refused to be transferred again.

Customer care then logged the call and referred it to the back office.

Accept for the reference number they gave me, nothing has been done to resolve the issue.

Now, 10 working days later and it being a new month, my night data is again not loaded. On top of it I had to buy data during August.

Why do I have to keep paying in full for a service I am not getting? Is Cell C waiting now for this contract to finish so they can close the issue? Must I now also assume that I will not get night data on the “retention contract”? Can I cancel the retention contract before it starts in November? Can Cell C also cancel the other two contracts I have gotten through the retention department? Can you please advise what the buy out value is of my contract on the 084 number?

Got a call from Danielle working at customer service and she resolved the issue within 5 minutes while I was busy with her on the line. Just a pity I had to come to this platform to have it shorted. Thanks Danielle
