Take photos of your device before sending to Cell C for repairs

For anyone that needs to send their devices for Warranty repairs, I suggest taking photos of the device before sending the device. I got my phone this year and from the very start the Operating System (Software) has been *******. I was hoping that the device would come right when it does the software update, but, sadly it did not help, neither did a factory reset. So I decided to send my phone for Warranty repairs, now this has been a mission on its own, as I had to follow up with Cell C as to when they will be collecting my phone, they took a week to come and collect it. After sometime Cell C Repair Centre informed me that it is indeed the OS that is faulty and they will be sending the device for external repairs, no where did they mention that my phone has physical damage. After sometime I received an SMS with banking details where I need to make a payment, as my phone is apparently out of Warranty and that it has physical damage, my phone did not have any physical damage when my phone was collected, and even if it was the case, physical damage would not affect the OS. I cannot see why they cannot reload the OS. However, they are quoting me an absurd amount to repair my phone, which I am refusing to pay, I’ve asked them to cancel the quote and send the phone back to me a week ago already and I’m still waiting for my phone. I only received the report and quote yesterday (10/11/2020) after requesting for it myself, as I will be taking my phone to a third party to have it assessed and repaired accordingly. I mean how can you send banking details to make a payment if you did not even send a quote and the assessment report. I honestly feel that Cell C is trying to pull a fast one. So please take photos of your device before sending to Cell C for repairs.
