Stop sending me sms marketing

I constantly receive marketing sms's from Cell C. If I try to reply with Stop, it simply refuses to send the sms. I then used their online opt out from direct marketing form, and STILL I'm receiving their nonsense sms's. Worst part is, I've been a Cell C customer for years, recently upgraded again, so why in the world do they keep sending me sms's. After my contract runs out, I'm for sure done with Cell C for ever.

The other reason for a 1-star review is that the Cell C app often has glitches. For more than a week now, if I click on 'Profile' on the Dashboard, I get 'Internal Server error'.

Dear Christiaan Venter

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the marketing SMS messages and the issues you’ve experienced with our app.

To ensure that you no longer receive these marketing messages, please provide us with the phone number that is receiving the SMSs. We will promptly request for the number to be deactivated from our marketing list.
Regarding the issue with the Cell C app, we recommend deleting the app and reinstalling it from your app store. Additionally, please ensure that your phone's software is up to date. This should help resolve the "Internal Server error" you have been encountering.

Regards,

Reviewer Update
Dear Cell C

I appreciate your prompt response. I'm not willing to provide my cell number. This is an issue experienced by many more people than just me, so what you need to do is update your systems and or processes such that this is not a problem for anyone. For example the opt out form: is nobody reading those, or are they not being properly captured by your system?
Also, change your approach, as it is unthinkable that if you bombard anybody with daily sms's, that they would keep you in high regard, especially existing customers.

I will try the app update, but I know that I got that error also one day after the last update.

We understand your hesitation to provide your cell number, and we want to assure you that we take your privacy seriously. However, to effectively stop the marketing messages, we need the specific phone number receiving them. This is necessary to ensure the request is properly processed and you no longer receive unwanted messages.

Regarding your feedback about the opt-out form, we are actively reviewing our systems and processes to ensure that all opt-out requests are correctly captured and acted upon. We appreciate your suggestion and are working towards improving our approach to customer communications.

We hope the app update resolves the issue, but please let us know if you continue to experience problems. Our team is here to assist you and ensure you have the best possible experience with Cell C.Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Regards,
