SMS's - confusion!!!

with being unemployed and obtaining short term contract employment, i did go into arrears with certain accounts, catch up...with Cell C, yes. So i received a kind sms from Cell on 7 May 2018 stating such and I was to respond to the sms as to when Cell C can debit my account for the amounts owing. I rep**** on 10 May 2018 "NO+26 May 2018" no, meaning not to debit now and 26 May is the new date to debit my account. today i receive another sms stating my accounts is in arrears and i need to make payment arrangements or my account will be deactivated! really? was the sms not proof and confirmation that payment will be available on 26 May 2018?? not sure which sms is correct now!!!!!!
