Sim Swap hassles
I have been using Cell C for many years...probably since 2014 around September or October...I misplaced my phone in an Uber taxi on the 24\25th Midnight of October 2025. This sim card was not registered under my name but it was under my previous partner who has since gotten married and moved to another City (Cape Town) and iam still in JHB. I went to one of your stores to ask for help but (understandby due to *****) they insisted I bring the owner of the SIM to the store to have the sim swap perfomed and change ownership. which is not possible at the moment but I need this sim card working as this impacts directly my relationship with my employer. I use this SIM mostly to receive my OTPs and two factor authentications to login to my work enviroment and also my personal logins that stricly requires this number. I need help please and I need it as soon as possible. I have all the proof that this sim card was being used by me, from bank statements, cellphone contracts, Insurance contracts,medical aid covers, rental agreements etc.... and even dating back as far back as you would wish me to prove. Please could I request help in getting this sorted as soon as possible. I have even took some measures to avoid my employer detecting that iam not being productive to avoid losing my job because of this. I kindly please request you assistance. I

May you continue to prove that Cell C believes their clients even during these trying times flooded with ***** and illicit activities filling up our cyber lives, remain steadfast in ensuring your client retention is strong and secured.
I can confirm my number has succesfully been moved to my details and off the previous owner...
I wish though some sort of innovation and as we explore more technology you guys will find alternative ways to prove ownership since theres soooo many sim cards out there in other areas and some cannot prove like I would ,the ownership of that specific number...
I will unfortunately will need to delete this post after a few days due to names of individuals involved and now avaialable for public consumption.
