Sim Swap
On Saturday 26.09.20 I lost my cell phone, today I went to cell c to do a sim swap I was told I wont be able to do it since I don't remember/recall the last 5 dialed numbers ,I do understand that this is a protocol and for security reasons we have to do this but I am failing to understand that if you have proof like I do (doctors letters/bank statement etc which is addressed to me and it all have my details including my cell number why cant I get help. As it is I am stressed I was hospitalized for threaten miscarriage and now this. Guys please help I don't need another stress, I am prepared to do an affidavit. Please help me I cannot afford to loose this number it is *** I've been using it ever since , for now you can get hold of me on ***(work ) OR *** (home)

As per RICA legislation, we can only assist you with a SIM swap if the number is in your name and was being actively used by you. You also need to pass the mandatory security check before we can action the SIM swap for you. There is a lot of ***** when it comes to SIM swaps and that is why we take the necessary steps to protect you as the customer as well as Cell C.
Do you have a new Cell C SIM card that is not RICA'd? If so, send us the serial number via private message and the number in question. The numbers you sent are blurred out on a public platform.
