Sim cards have expiration dates???

My sim card just stopped working, i did not get any network for monthts, during this period i have lost out on my minutes, SMSes and data. I called Cell C with the intention of doing a sim swop, but after hearing that i will be charged R50 for it, i changed my mind.

This is the second time this has happened to my contract sim card where the sim card is faulty, and I did pay to have a sim swop the last time. i would have paid if this was due to my negligence, but why should I when this is no fault of mine.

The supervisor on duty (Nqobile) from the sim swop department told me that their sim cards have a 2 year life span... Since when? any why wasn't your customers made aware of this. Even so, my sim was younger than 2 years.

This pathetic service I received has changed my perception of CellC, thus I will not be renewing my contract, and i have intentions of porting to a different network. Thanks CellC, you have a good way of losing customers.
