SIM card deactivated

My SIM card was deactivated even though the SIM card was still being used. This is unacceptable. Why should I be forced to buy airtime to use a prepaid SIM card? A SMS warning would be appreciated before doing this.

The call center just says we can't help you and the number is lost. This is terrible service. Why deactivate the number in the first place. If the SIM card was inactive, I can understand but it was being used on a daily basis.

He said I will have to purchase a new SIM card and request my deactivated number. I'm glad that there is a solution to this, but you should not deactivate a SIM without warning the customer. In future please notify me before doing this.

After waiting a long while, Cell C came back to me with a solution. I have to buy a new SIM card, RICA it and they will transfer the number to the new SIM card.

As per the feedback that was provided on the 29th of June, the consultant advised that you should buy a new card and Rica register it for further assistance regarding a number change. He further advised that you should send him an email once you have purchased the SIM card.

Did you send him the email as he requested you to do so?

The process was as follows: Buy a new SIM card and RICA the SIM. Don't use the new SIM yet. Email ********** and notify them that you want to reactivate your number. In your email you will need to send the the phone number that was deactivated and the RICA number of the new SIM card. They should call you back to confirm a few details and your number will be reactivated. Now you can use the new SIM and the reactivated number should work. Thanks Cell C for sorting this out.
