Selling second hand goods as new

On Wednesday last week my wife and I went to Cell C Galleria to purchase a tablet for my daughter as a Christmas present, after finding one we app**** for the contract and we're approved, the Salesman Kennedy did the deal and made sure he told us to look that he's breaking the seal for the first time etc. On Christmas day my daughter opens her present and we find that there is someone's email registered on it, after some investigation I called the person and she confirmed that she returned that tablet back to the store. This store sealed the unit back up and sold it to me as new, we are clearly paying for new devices and I'm sure according to the consumer protection that this is *******. These guys knew what they were doing because he made sure he was clear when he told us to see that he is breaking the seal for the first time, to top it off the sim card holder does not wor**** So this tablet must have been sent back for that and they just decided to take a chance and sell it off to us. My daughter was extremely disappointed on Christmas day because of the actions by this store and we were thoroughly embarrassed as this happened while we had guests. I went to the store today and spoke to the manager Sandesh, he knew that this tablet was a return and said that they resell the products!! What?? I am not paying for second hand goods! You guys are actually lying and cheating customers! He then got another one from another store and brings it to me, I open the plastic in front of him and guess what? The seal is broken. I show this to him and he says that all the seals are broken to load cell c software, this is bull because I've owned many phones and had alot of phones delivered to me and all of them were always sealed. The seal itself says do not accept the product if the seal is broken, so he then tried a second time to sell me an opened product. Now he says I have to wait for the warehouse or whoever to open for him to rectify the problem. If I knew that Cell C would offer such ****py service and deceit I would have gone to another service provider. When I told the Sandesh I will go public with this his response was "no problem". We'll guess what? I will not allow this to happen to anyone else as we work hard to pay for this stuff and don't expect a big brand to rob it's consumers. This is just the beginning I will publish this on every social networking site and the newspaper!
