Selling packages with phones that are discontinued

My husband signed for an upgrade on Friday at Cell C Westgate he was Informed that they don't have stock of the phone but they will source a phone from Clearwater because they do have stock. Today he phones to find out why he have to received a call and he was informed by Soya that the phone was discontinued and they still waiting for stock. Why was my husband not informed about thus the day the upgraded contract was signed? Now they want him to take a contract that is more expensive or take a contract that is cheaper but the data and airtime is much lower that the upgrade that he signed for. Is this how Cell C does business and not even to talk about the customer service. If my husband didn't phone to follow up no one would have phoned him. We will rather look at the other cell phone providers because this is really not what we expected from Cell C

It is a Samsung but he can't remember the model. Surely you would be able go see it on your system. The contract amount is R199.00

So why are a contract being sold if you know there is no stock. This is extremely bad customer service. We are busy shopping around at vodacom and mtn. You have wasted my husbands time as he had to ask for time off at work. We are not impressed at all and the best is you guys just pull your shoulders up, you don't care about the inconvenience caused.
