Selling details to telesale call centres

I took a new Me&You Mobile contract. The number was not given to anyone neither was it used to sign up for anything. The next day started receiving calls on the me&you mobile number from a call centre trying to sell me tracking devices. The call centre had my full name, ID no. and new me&you mobile number. When I contacted Me&you mobile, i was amazed by their level of incompetence. Instead of doing any proper investigation, i was told that I cant prove that my details were sold. This is not rocket science. Is it not obvious?<br> <br> I then ported my number to an MTn number and still I get calls from call centres. <br> <br> What the hell is going on with cellc?<br> <br> I received an email from a very confused individual who clearly lacks common sense. I ported my number to MTN a few days ago after the initial incident.
