My debit order was suppose to go off the last day of the month.
I only get my salary a day or 2 before the month ends.
My wife got retrenched a few months ago and by that time I already made my December holiday bookings. We were almost not even going to go on holiday anymore and wanted to give the bookings to someone else.
Needless to say we decided to go and come back the day before xmas.
I left my last approx R2500 in my account for xmas presents.
CellC ran debit orders on my account on the 24th taking the last money I saved for XMAS thus I coukd not get my family presents. The one debit order bounced which caused additional bank charges on my account and this also negatively affects my credit with the bank.
I saw a msg saying that cellc was planning on running debit orders early due to public holidays ... my debit order should be done on 31 Dec. Normal pay day is 25th of Dec. 28, 29, 30 and 31 is not public holidays.
If you state that a change will be made you need ACTION FROM THE CLIENT ...
CellC is in no legal place to run debit orders as they please
The message should be:"we are planning to do x y z, if you agree please reply 'yes'."
The message cannot read "we are planning to do x y z, if you do not agree repky 'no'"
This has been found in court ... if the Cell C lawers and finantial people dont know this then they are useless and should not be in any position to make decisions.
The best is I have tried to get in contact with them but they cant assist ... all ai get is "escelated to relvant department"
Its 7:30am Wednesday 28 Dec and I receive a call from a number that TrueCaller recognise as CellC support. The phone rings once, I answer the phone and then they slam the phone in my ear.
This truly seems to me that someone is given the job to handle my acxount, they dont want to do it, they pick up the phone and make the call early, let it ring once so that they can say they did their job, slam the phone down without noticing what happens on the other side and then they go on with their day.
CellC truly seem to have a 'big corp' mentality where clients are nothing ... CellC, you messed up XMAS in 2022 ...
You need to fix your mess with the bank and you need to pqy back additional bank charged you caused for bouncing debit orders and you need to come explain to my 2 boys you where the reason they didnt have anything from me under the xmas tree
