Robbing customers blind & poor service

It's not the first time that I've been furnished with a ridiculous data charge on my post-paid Cell C account. Thousands of rands, yet I am very cautious (and IT wise) about what downloads happen on my phone. On a previous complaint I wanted a breakdown of exactly what utilised my data and was told it could only happen after the billing cycle, yet nobody followed up or even cared. Why would they when they're fleecing customers left right and centre?

This month, another bill of a few thousand rands to which I wrote an online complaint. After about 4 days someone actually bothered to call me - I know, surprising right? The trouble is, Cell C calls you, on your mobile phone, which you answer with your name, then they proceed to ask you about 8 security questions. My word, how frustrating. Not even my bank asks me so many questions. This when someone gaining unauthorised access to my bank account has the potential to bankrupt me.

When you call someone on their mobile and they answer it with their name, it's quite likely to be them. A revelation, I know. I hope this little insight has been of value and you can use it to save some poor soul from slitting their wrists in frustration.
