Repairs on the phone more expensive than the phone

My partner got me a cellc phone Blackberry Z10 on contract which he pays 256 odd, value of phone cash is 2600. the phone was bought last year august,the phone fell of which no ink displayed its only the first glass that's cracked, the phoen functions except one part u cant operate it due to its all touch..MY COMPLAINT IS THT I WAS CHARGED 3500 FOR THE REPAIRS, THIS IS NOT EVEN THE CSH PRICE FOR THE PHONE, WHAT DOES THIS MEAN, THAT ONCE THE PHONE FALLS YOU MUST THEN BUY A NEW ONE?? CAN SOMEONE MAKE ME UNDERTAND WHY THIS IS BILLED THIS WAY?? I BELIEVE THIS IS A TOTAL *******.. I would also like to contacted as I want to update my banking details for the contract tht I have with cellc.
