Refusal to provide IMEI number
Last year in December i upgraded my cellphone telephonically with Cell C. In March I noticed that my phone (Samsung A5) was taking blurry pictures. Last week (27 April) I reported the matter at a Cell C Store in Tygervalley in Cape Town and they told me if I want it to be fixed it will take 4 to 6 weeks to get it back. I refused since I cannot stay for such a long time phoneless. I then wnet to Samsung Store and they told me they can fix it immediately but they required IMEI number and proof of purchase. I went back to Cell C store and asked them to provide me with them and they told me I MUST contact their customer service 084 145. I called them on Thursday (28 April) after 8am and they promised send me via email within 24 hours. On Friday (29 April) there was no email. I then called them again and they promised to assist. On Tuesday (3rd May) there was no email, I contacted them again after 9am and again they prmised to email it within 24 hours. On Wednesday (4th May) I called them again with no luck, they just told me they cannot assist me. The contract they sent me last year does not reflect IMEI number.
