Refusal to cancel contract after 2 years

I no longer reside in South Africa and wish to cancel my Cell C contract. I waited until the 24 month period have passed and on April 11, 2015 gave my 30 month notice. Cell C customer service keep referring me to their retention department despite my numerous requests that they should not. I just want my contract cancelled immediately as this has now been 3 months.
