Refund blunder after blunder - extending beyond 15 business days

In December 2023 I received a laptop from cell c. Before opening the box I realized the i5 / i7 laptop I requested was actually an intel core. It was returned via courier on the same day, unopened. The contract was cancelled via the call centre.

Fast forward to January 2025, I am made aware by a cell c consultant at a branch that I have 3 active contracts. I call once again to cancel the contract and received ref number 501 081 193 made on 8 January.

After sending off the requested bank statements proving the debit order cellc takes from my account from March 2024 to December 2024, I received a confirmation of receipt.

It is important to note that Cell C's policy is that refunds will be resolved in 3 - 10 business days. It has been 15 business days with no concrete update.

Emails requesting confirmation of receipt on 21 and 22 Jan of email sent to *** and ***. No confirmation received.

Call to call centre on 23 January prompted confirmation of email after much to and fro from ***

23 January call to call centre for update. Investigation ongoing

24 January call to call centre request for update, promise of a returned call. None received

27 January call to call centre request for update, no team leader call back received

30 January call to call centre request for update, call dropped after transfer to team leader

1 February call to call centre request for update, *** email received

When will my refund be made? (A year and) 15 business days later...
