Recycled number | Cell C

I have been to the Cell C store and called the contact center for assistance on a recycled number. The contact center directed me to the store. The store could not help so I emailed customer service... They obviously did not read my request and kept closing the case and not understanding the request. I am still trying to get my recycled number back... I was traveling and not active in South Africa... And our dear Cell C deactivated and then recycled my number. I only came to know when i stopped getting calls and then tried I calling myself. I have even requested to take a new contract with them in order to get the number back. The response is always generic with no explanation. I feel like the staff are not trained or just don't care to try. Many customers have the same issue but it seems like it's dealing with a mafia. "because we said so". They don't understand the impact of recycling numbers... And the impact it makes on the person. Absolutely no consideration.
