Really bad!!!! Be aware of this!!! all Cell C customers who would like to cancel contracts

I had a contract with Cell C for two years. At the end of the 2 years I cancelled the contract and requested to go over to pre-paid. Wanted to keep the number. This was done on 2018/03/01 at 17:04. I shortly afterwards received a sms stating the the contract will be cancelled on the 5th of April 2018??. I did not think anything of it at that stage as I honoured the 30 days notice after asking how long in advance do I need to cancel the contract. On 2018/04/01 I received an sms stating my account was credited with R150. I called today to enquire why as I did give notice 30 days in advance to cancel the contract. After speaking to a consultant, it was explained that 30 days works on Cell C sistem for the 1st to the 1st. First of all this contridict the 30 days statement required for cancellation, as I cancelled on the 1st, it meant that after 30 days, it would fall on the 31st of March 2018. Which should have been my last day on the contract. Why do Cell C operate like this as it is totally against the consumer protection act. If stated 30 days, surely it should be 30 days and not 31 days?? Now, i have to pay another month for my cancelled contract which i am not happy about. Please sort as all your calls are recorded.
