RE: ****med by Cell C

I have been seriously ****med by Cell C. My contract ended on the 5th of January, I was told that I need to notify them a month in advance if I am not renewing the contract, of which I did early in December.

They deducted end December and I was told it was for the December usage, as in January I was not able to use neither the airtime nor the data, as I was told that both my sim cards have been deactivated, I was fine with that as the contract in any case ended.

To my surprise , on Friday, I got an sms from VVM debt collectors that I have been handed over by Cell C to them to pay an amount of R469 which I dont understand if it is for what. I went to the branch, and they told me it is for January usage, I was shocked as in January both my sim card were de activated. And I tried calling their call centre which keeps on asking me for the alternative number that I put on in 2018 and I cannot recall, as a result, I keep on failing their crazy security questions. I am sitting here now, with no clarity, as I cant recall which alternative number that I used at that time , as it was long time again, I made a lot of changes since then.

It is very frustrating to ****med by these companies, as they seem not to want to accept when the contract ends, they want to swallow our bank accounts until we run dry, and turnish our credit record on the other side.
