Prepaid sim/number deactivated
My mobile number that has been used for more than 10 years has been deactivated without notification. My number is linked to my internet banking, accounts and social media. CellC didn't think to notify me of this either. When i called in I was told by Ayanda that my number has been recycled and there is nothing they can do. This leaves me in a situation where my banking information, personal information etc can be shared with someone else which can lead to ***** and is a clear breach of the POPI Act
The consultant also nonchalantly told me that i should go change my cellphone number at all of these places. How and when will this happen leaving me vulnerable to ***** and information leaks.
All of this was done because I couldn't reload airtime since 2021. My number has been in use just not recharged and then 5 years later CellC just cancels it.
Please can this be sorted out ASAP

I will get a new CellC sim but i just need my old number reactivated. Please confirm as I stand to loose too much at this point?
