Poor Service
The only reason there is 1 star on this review ist to proceed with it, unless there would not have been anything So i want to do a sim swap due to a sim card that got damaged, researched the requirements on the internet (ID and Proof of Residence), got that that ready and made the big trek to the supposedly 1 stop shop in Highcveld Mall Witbank, only to be told i need an affidavit as well,
No where on any platform was that mentioned, Phoned the Customer Care line and more than willing to help provided:
I can answer when the last time was i recharged my account, and by how much the last 2 numbers i dialed from the phone, the most frequent number i dialed from that number
Get serious please I challenge the CEO, CFO and any othe exec at Cell C to answer that from memory alone,
I'm not sure in which world CEell C operates but my phone has an address book, with a name, i pick the name and the phone dial, i do not remember the 10 digit line nor do i pay attention to it, i probably make 30 - 50 calls a day and again i challenge anyone to remember the 10 digit number of the last calls they made (do a challenge to the management team, step up to your own ridiculous impractical protocols Your competitors allow sim swap via their apps, (Vodacom MTN, Telkom), and in fact at Telkom I did a walk in handed over my docs( No affidavit required) and 2 min later had an activated ready to use Sim (immediately active), for which i was not even charged Get with the times please, Also the call agent i spoke to was extremely rude, has no sense of timing in allowing me to speak and just kept on talking regardless whether i had something to say or not Lastly, according to the Call center an affidavit is only required for lost \ ****** sims, not damaged, whilst the walk in Centre insisted it is the case for all instances
if thats your policy, please publish it, and be consistent in applying it I have been a loyal customer of yourts for sometime but really thinkingh opf taking my business elsewhere where there is consistancy, and at least a call center agent that would allow me to state my case, (in case he forget, my airtime helps paying his salary)
I would expect a reply on this but is not holding my breath, but still my challenge remains to the questions that i was asked to any of the Cell C team, in terms of numbers dialed recharge dates and amounts, and numbers called lets see if you can answer that in a 3 minute interview with no data in front of you
As per the SIM swap policy, the process can only be done if the SIM card was registered under your names and ID number. In order to have the SIM swap processed, you need to pass the mandatory security check questions.
This is done to protect you as our customer against any possible ***** as the number might also be linked to your banking service.
