I opened a new account in December. I tried creating Cell C as a beneficary on my Absa account, but it would not accept the account number that appears on my statement. I went to the branch to query, and they said they could not help. I spoke to someone from Cell C telephonically, and she advised me to delete the space between the numbers and try again. It still did not work. I have been to various branches to try to pay, but none are willing to accept payment, saying I need to go to a Nedbank branch. In the meantime, Cell C permanently deactivated my SIM, and the whole amount for the phone became due. I am now willing to pay this in full settlement, but while I am still been pushed from pillar to post to get assistance, I see that my monthly bill is still increasing. Why, if my account has been closed and the full amount has been claimed (handset)? I want to pay off Cell C in full, but the poor service is really stressing me. Can someone from Cell C please contact me, with an explanation and breakdown of costs, so that I can settle the bill. I believe its with their Legal now.
