Poor service

Cell C is letting someone use my husband's cell no on Facebook and we only saw this after my husband's phone broke and we had to switch phones. After this we contacted cell C and their reply was sorry this is nothing to do with them. My question is just how did he get notifications on my husband's cell no. Now we can't get into my husband's Facebook which he had for years
