After I waited for days for a router from Cell C, I got going for a few weeks. I bought a 200 Gbps data contract for 24 months - which is not cheap. Wednesday morning disaster struck and I went offline. Yesterday (Thursday) I drove from my home in Pennington, KZN to the closest Cell C outlet in Amanzimtoti to have my sim and router checked out. I did a sim swop and my router worked fine in the Cell C outlet. When I got home no service - my status light on my router does not light up.
Many calls later (and only late last night) I was told by the Cell C call centre that Cell C technical staff are on strike and cannot assist me. I was also told that Cell C has LTE problems since Wednesday (which was recorded) hence me being unable to connect to the Internet. I was told by the call centre that my problem will be escalated but to connect to the Internet I have to buy data bundles for my Vodacom contract while I have over 133 Gbps available on Cell C. I really hope I do get some sort of credit from Cell C....
Which frustrates the hell out of me - I waited many days for a router. Now I cannot get onto the Internet for whatever problem Cell C might have and I am very Internet dependent. When will these guys get their act together and put the customer first?
