POOR DEBIT ORDER SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION
Hi, being a loyal payee client for 18 years with two contracts, one I terminated in January 2023, now classified as a poor payer and in arrears which I never was due to poor administration and debit order system not following my instruction for changing debit order dates from the 1st to the 6th of each month, due to income date changes as a pensioner, escalated penalty charges of insufficient funds on my current new bill for the 6th May to be taken off my bank account for their convenience and not only putting my name with my Bank into a disrepute situation also collecting penalty fees? Now for me to do immediate EFT payments still to be a loyal and prompt client to prevent them taking as they please and no indication of not adjusted yet, they want me to Affidavit and close my Bank account to cancel the debit order arrangement. Wow!! My new financial advisers. I will not settle for this. I have been with my Bank for 6 years and praise their services. Never had any bouncing debit orders on my records until now. My billing amounts were as promised and arranged into my bank account for them to collect. Not sure what they wanted to collect exceeding my budgeted as per billing invoices. If Cell C system not adjusted urgently it will lead to poor collections.

Thank you for response.
I have both disputes. On Saturday 25 February I ha personally spoken to a Male consultant to change my debit order dates from the 1st to the 6th of each month which he recommended. He acknowledged that it will be in order. The reason I requested that was for my Government pension dates which versed from the 2nd to the 5th of each month, I draw it manually on those dates and deposit into my bank account for the debit orders.
Cell C tried to take a payment on the 28th February and bounced. Then on the 3rd it was taken and was correct as per invoice. An amount of R277 which was due. Then on the same billing invoice my next new invoice payment of R341 which was due only for the 6th April they wanted the 3rd February as well saying that I am in arrears. Wrong, I was not in arrears. After numerous mails to them, asking them to reconcile and check the system to adjust the date which was already on the App and fir the 6th April, they then collected the payment whereas my R341 was in the bank from the 4th April, but bounced once again. As I checked it was still in my bank the 6th April, and made an urgent EFT payment.
Then on the new billing invoice due the 6th of May, contract value is R256, correct, they charged me twice fir unsufficient funds an amount of R140, I will refuse to pay that, am not at fault, and requested a credit and I will only pay my legal bound contract of R256, per EFT.
Now they want me to close my bank account which I have for 6 years and proof, an affidavit which I have a lot to say on.
I have in 18 years never let Cell C down, a prompt payer and no hopping debit orders. Now in disrepute every where due to poor administration.
They acknowledged that all was adjusted but now an extra charge bill of R140, and I suppose the 6th April's too..with another R70 penalty.,.I refuse. Only R256 will be paid over.
