Poor CellC data hep desk service around Unrestricted APN access on CellC, from CellC

Summary:

I am quite upset about poor service desk assistance from CEllC around my (existing and working) unrestricted APN. Although I am able to access my CellC Desktop LTE-A router management web pages from an MTN mobile SIM card in my mobile dual-SIM handset, I cannot do the same using my other CellC data SIM card in the same handset. So, after filling in the forms and submitting them for unrestricted APN for incoming data connections to my CellC home router, this was enabled. And it works fine coming from MTN (MTN to CellC). It just does not work from CellC to CellC.

Help desk does not seem to understand the issue.

Why is CellC pushing me away as customer? Cannot give me acceptable solution to the issue.

Is this so difficult to understand? I am not able to connect to my CellC desktop LTA-A router at home (which has unrestricted APN), over the internet, from my other CellC mobile handset LTE sim card. HOWEVER my NORMAL MTN mobile SIM card in same phone allows me to connect !!!!(no special unrestricted APN was requested from MTN). Do they want to stop me from migrating my MTN account to also become CellC?

This is no way for a company to grow its business. Their response is for me to request also unrestricted APN on my desktop, which is ridiculous, seeing I did not have to for my MTN mobile SIM. I DO NOT ALSO WANT TO MANAGE THE INCREASED RISK ON ALL THE MOBILE DEVICES IN MY FAMILY. Surely unrestricted APN is just to allow incoming traffic. I do not need unrestricted APN for outgoing connections to Google, Microsoft, or any other web pages for that matter.

Unrestricted APN is to enable incoming connections that are normally blocked. It is not required to be unblocked for outgoing connections. After all, everybody is normally able to make outgoing connections by default, to a variety of web sites, etc. There should be no need to ask for Unrestricted APN for outgoing connections.

Being able to access your home network from outside (over the internet) is growing in importance due to increased need for home automation and "the internet of things".

I just want to be able to do with my handset CellC SIM card what my MTN handset SIM card can do by default. It would be impractical to manage the effort and associated risk management of being expected to request Unrestricted APN for all devices that would need to connect to my home network over the internet.
