Please just give me a phone that works!

Good day,

In December 2016 I upgraded my contract and got an iPhone 5S. In July 2017 we first booked the phone in at Cell C Garden Route Mall in George as it would not charge. I was advised I could have it back in two to three weeks. I was not offered a lone phone, thus paying for a contract I could not use. After three weeks when I went to collect the phone, I was advised that they could not work on the phone before we turn off "Find my iPhone". We could not do it as the phone could not switch on. No one at Cell C could help me how to turn it off if you cannot switch on the phone. I tried to log in via my pc into iCloud, but it sent a 6 digit code to the phone for two factor authentication. We obviously could not get the code as the phone cannot switch on. We again booked it in and again it was sent back with the same message. I then went to Vodacom and asked someone there if there is any way to switch off Find my iPhone, and was helped in two minutes. The sales guy at Vodacom took out the sim card, put it into one of their phones, asked me to log into iCloud from their computer, and after the code was sent, told me to click on the "Did not receive code" and I was given the option that the code was sent via sms, which we then could retrieve, and everything was done in just two minutes. I then went back to Cell C and booked the phone in for a third time, and when I told them how quickly I was assisted at Vodacom, I was told by the person who helped me that they are not Apple experts!!! Neither are the sales people at Vodacom! They just know more about the product they are selling! About a week later (still no loan phone) I was informed that I should come and choose another phone of the same value as it was being exchanged. I told the lady I wanted an iPhone 5S, as that is what I was paying for. I was informed that it had been discontinued, and should I want an iPhone SE, I would have to pay in. I told the lady I specifically took out a contract I could afford with an iPhone, as it was a Christmas gift for my 10 year old daughter, and with me and my wife also having iPhones, we have family sharing and with that have control over what she does on her phone. She cannot download any apps etc without my wife authorizing from her own iPhone. A week later I received a Certified Pre-Owned iPhone 5S. We have now been using the phone about two - three weeks and this one now also does not want to charge. We have 3 iPhones and two iPads, so we have alot of Apple chargers, and none of them can charge this phone. Now I am going to have to book it in AGAIN, and still have to pay for a contract I cannot use. This is PATHETIC. If you count together all the time that the phone was booked in, I have paid subscription for 2 months which we could not use the minutes, data or phone. (We do not have an extra apple phone to use with the sim card)

Now I would like to know how you are going to resolve this issue? I also do not want a certified pre-owned phone again, as the contract that I took out, was not for a pre-owned phone, but for a new one. Otherwise please lower my subscription to that of a pre-owned phone or cancel my contract so I can take one out at Vodacom.

I would appreciate it if the matter could be delt with urgently, as I am still paying and if the phone is booked in today again, I will be unable to use the phone, minutes or data I pay for.

FYI - the Cell C number which we cannot use as of today, is **********

Kind Regards PJ Schoeman Tel ********** .

Thank you, I did speak to Maropeng and will book the phone in again today and email the job nr through so it can be prioritized. It is however going to take another 1-2 weeks and again without usage of the phone or airtime / data paid for. I will post reply after I receive the phone back within a week or two. Regards
