Please cancel my line / account / connection

On 31 January 2021 I cancelled my fibre connection / account with CellC. As to this day I am still struggling with them to relinquish the line so that the new service provide can connect. My latest call with CellC, logged on Tuesday 13 June 2021 for a follow up, was closed without them doing anything (CF195686). This has been going on now for nearly 6 months. Doing business with CellC is like being in a bad marriage, they treat you like ****, you hate them and want out, but they won't let you go!!! 6 months CellC what are you going to do? I can't talk to anyone in authority because the helpdesk people are not allowed to escalate to management. So short of coming to your head office and getting the line disconnected, what do I do?

I have not received any feedback from CellC and my call that I have opened has promptly been closed without any action. This is the same bad service that lead me to close this contract in the first place. No one from the Social Media team has called. WHAT DO I DO????? Perhaps the ombudsman can help put a rocket up your @#$%.

I have called Cell C fibre support again to reopen the call CF195684 and the person from the support team informed me that my son-in-law (the account was originally in his name) who is in the UK must go to a CellC store to get this connection closed. How ridiculous is this. The mind boggles at how stupid these people actually are. This should be so simple. 1) The contract has been closed. 2) disconnect CellC from the line. 3) New ISP connects.

Finally Cell C has release the line. This has taken them 6 months. For anyone with the same problem, please email ICASA and the National Consumer Commission and CellC will then release your line within an hour! CellC is clearly a bad apple in the barrel of ISPs. I won't be using them ever again. Mind you, I have heard that they are "finished" anyway, that's not a bad thing.
