Please assist me with this problem

My phone was ****** in September, the night that my husband passed away and I have tried to get my old number back since then.Everythime I go there it is a different story, they are either off line or have no cardsI have been to Cell c stores numerous times to no avail and I have also phoned in a couple of times. The number I have now is not able to receive any calls or smses. I haven't had any problems in the passed. I don't know what is happening with cell c.
