Pillar to Post just for a paid up letter

I’m very much disappointed with the service I am receiving from Cell c. First of all my cellphone was ****** together with my belongings in a unfortunate event in Dec’17, I went to cell c to ask for a simswop and not able to get assistance because well my ID was ****** together with the cellphone. So I have been paying a non-existent phone since then until I decided in November to settle it. I called the call center on the 09 November asking for a settlement amount. And the consultant said I needed to pay R 1,647.38. which I did . unfortunately as every other bad service you get from call centers, the “Highly trained” consultant might have forgotten to mention an important detail, that I’ll have to call them after making the payment to close my account. Fine then I noticed I’m not getting any feedback or acknowledgement of the payment nothing, so I called cell c again on the 21st November to check what’s happening. And I was told I was supposed to have called back when Jesus was born, anyways the lady told me she will log a call to service whoever and they will give me feedback in 48hours or was it 72hours I don’t know because that as well yielded no results at all. Until I finally decided to call today, I was told my account was still in arrears ☹. Seen as there is no point arguing with a “well Trained” consultant. I paid the R 141.92 and learnt that I had to follow up else will reap famine, I called them back and spoke to Loraine who so happens to tell me my account is not deactivated “Shock of my life”. Feeling lazy to stick to her case she just told me she has logged a call to written correspondence, which again it’ll take 72hours to get feedback and yet again i did not receive a ref number for the "logged call"
