Phone not repaired

I took my phone in for repairs at Festival Mall. I got an sms to collect it as it was ready. Once I arrived to collect the phone,I was told that the phone was not repaired as it's beyond repairs.<br> <br> The phone was taken in for repairs as it was not charging. I could not have damaged the threads of the charging port. Since I was not negligent on my side,I do not understand why Cell C expects me pay a contract for another year without a working phone that I did not break.<br> <br> The store manager told me that there is nothing they can do for me. I was made to talk to the repair centre and was transferred to other departments. I found this very disappointing as I have a contract with cells not their repair centres. If Cell C cannot replace the unit,they might as well cancel my contract.
