Paying two months extra for a contract that has already lapsed
I have always been very happy with the customer service I received from Cell C. I am however extremely unhappy with how they handle ending of contracts. My LTE contract ended 17 June. Did not receive any SMS or other communication to the effect except for a small line on my invoice. When I phone (on 07/06/2024) them to cancel "contract" with them, I am advised that not only will I pay for the month of June, but also for July!!! They will NOW send an SMS stating that I have cancelled the contract .... duplicitous, not?

Cell C number: ***
The contract ends 17 June - I phoned 7 June
Up and until May the amount payable has been R274.06
From June it now suddenly shows as R462.97
I am contacting Cell C before the contract actually expires to let you know that I do not want to continue having a Cell C service, and I not only have to pay a higher rate on the last month (why?), but I now have to pay for an extra month (again, why?).
