Paying for a broken phone - Cell C refuses to fix

My Samsung S7 Edge crashed/switched off and since then wont switch back on or charge. There was never a problem with the batter prior to this and the phone was not dropped. I took it to Samsung at Clearwater mall. The sales staff informed that as ALL SERVICE PROVIDERS cover the cost and as the phone is on contract and not paid off it is still under warranty. They referred me to " We Fix" downstairs at Clearwater Mall. The lady at the front desk informed me that ALL SERVICE PROVIDERS except CELL C covers repairs and if I want to book the phone in I will have to pay the bill. I spoke to my friends and told them what Cell C has done to me. They were shocked as both of their phones broke and VODACOM COVERED THE COST of the repair. I want to be very clear, I am highly disgusted as to how I have been treated as a customer, I have been taken advantage of after being a loyal customer for many years, well not anymore.. you will never see me again after all these years. I will ensure that every person I know, which happens to be alot of people ( be careful who you upset..) knows not to do business with you cell c.I phoned cell c and was told they dont/wont cover anything.I still have to pay cell c minus the minutes etc R2000. I want Cell C to explain to me how is it that I must continue to pay them for a broken, dead, useless phone?

Cell C contacted me.They said that I will have to take my phone into cell c repair to be "assesed" they then will "decide" how to proceed. So to recap I the customer must: 1 take time off work 2 drive to cell c repair (petrol) 3 wait for assessment for who knows how long,no loan phone 4after all this still most likely have to pay myself. 5 continue to pay cell c for a broken phone. I AGAIN pointed out that every other service provider fixes phones regardless whilst under contrac.Except Cell C. I will make sure anyone who can listen knows NOT to do business with Cell C! Oh and this is on Facebook

As explained by the consultant the device must be booked in for repairs, you book the handset at your nearest Cell C store and the store will make the necessary arrangements with the repairs centre. The handset will be sent to our repair centre where it will be assessed and a decision will be taken based on the outcome whether it will be replaced, repaired.

When you visit the store you can request for a loan phone which is subject to stock availability within the store you have opted to book your device into.

Please clarify and confirm, Cell C undertakes to either fix or replace my phone and there will be no cost to myself the customer? This is not consistent with what Palesa said to me.

Unfortunately, I cannot confirm whether the phone will be repaired or replaced, as I explained, the decision will be taken after the phone has been assessed by the technicians at our repair centre. You need to book it in for repairs and you will be assisted accordingly.
