Pathetic Signal/Service

I've always been a Cell C customer but I never knew how bad their signal & customer care consultants were until I got the contract which I currently have. I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 for a year and 7 months and I've had nothing but nightmares when it comes to doing things other people do with their smart phones effortlessly.

Since I have this phone I've never had the delight of using 3G or 4G. I've only ever been using EDGE... and that after endless calls and very little assistance which didn't help at all. I've been told to use the Vodacom network, and my phone won't allow me to use it. Call centre agents tell me about the Cell C tower close to my house (not close at all) that services the whole of the area and it's surroundings but that tower serves no purpose to myself nor to people (my colleagues) who stay closer to the tower.

Not all of us are fortunate enough to be able to afford wifi systems at our homes and when we do get the privilledge (at work), we do everything we cannot do at our homes/areas/places that do not have wifi. Downloading anything is a pain. Videos are buffering from beginning to end (if you don't get frustrated before the video ends)... and that's when we have signal (EDGE). There are days that we lose signal for 10 - 15mins or it disappears and reappears for an hour.

It's pathetic that we have to pay our contracts for services we are barely able to use. My bill which comes to about R1400 on a good month is mainly calls.

I wouldn't advise my worst enemy to use this network. As soon as my contract ends, I'm going to another service provider who will give me what I pay for.
