Pathetic service
Someone from the cellc contact center contacted me on the 15th of August offering me a data deal, I told her that I already had a data contract. To which she explained that a data contract wasn't a binding contract. So I took a deal and she explained that on my debit order date for August I will be paying for the old contract and on the 1st of September I should take out the old sim and use the new one which I will start paying on the 20th of September (which was R)199 She explained so well, a number of times. She then transfer me to the cancelation dep where I got a different story and was told that I going to pay for both in September, I got so upset and decided to cancel both. Fast forward to the 15th of September I went to cell c store in Kuruman mall. I was assisted by Gizelle, she helped me with a home connecta sim and also helped with loading data. I told her that my mobile contract was due for an upgrade and that I wanted to upgrade, she checked and told me how much I qualify for but I couldn't find a a phone I was looking for so I told her to order me a phone and call me to collect once it arrives. On the 16th of September both my sim cards were disconnected, so I went back to the store where I was told to do an affidavit from police station that I wanted my number back. Why should I go do an affidavit when I didn't cancel my mobile contract? Also they had no right to disconnect my number because I was in a process of an upgrade with a number that was mine and had asked cell c to use it for contract since I didn't want to hav5more than one number. This has been a inconvenience as now I can't use my banking app and longin my work emails or teams as the OTP is sent to that number. The store manager said there's nothing they can do. I just want my number back, and I will cut the 10 year relationship I have with them, clearly it's time to move on
