Passing the Buck
I upgraded my Cell C contract in August 2015. I received an LG phone<br> Whenever it was charged it would go very hot and the device would just switch off. I returned the phone the very next day and received an OBF number and was told that I will receive an sms when the phone is back from the lab.<br> I requested that the contract should then rather be canceled. I was told by Menlyn Cell C that I must put it in writing to customer care who said that the shop should issue me with a proof of cancelation.<br> After about 5 weeks I still had not received an sms from cell c and I went into the shop for proof of cancelation. I was then told that the OBF was rejected and I can take back the phone. I refused to accept the phone because it was even tested in the shop and was told something is wrong. The phone was send to the lab for a second time. <br> For two months I was send between the shop and customer care for proof of cancelation. Not once was I told that I cannot cancel the contract.<br> I ended up signing a new contract with Vodacom and received and LG phone in perfect working condition. <br> In December the
