Paid up accounts handed over

I tried to change banking details with cellc in January. With the difficulties i was encountering, i requested statements to be emailed to me monthly so that manual payment could be made while the banking details issue was being dealt with. Regardless of numerous phone calls, the bank account i had notified cellc should not be used continued to be debited each month, incurring R150 in bank charges each time. The banking details provided on cell c statements were not accepted by standard bank as a beneficiary, and i have been struggling for months to correct this issue with numerous quefies to cellc. Last week, i finally managed to place all of my contracts onto my standard bank debit order, and was assured that the outstanding balance would be debited with the end May payment cycle. I phoned cell c, who confirmed this and my lines were reconnected as the issue was finally resolved. About 6 hours after having my lines reconnected, they were disconnected and, after phoning to query this i was notified that they had been handed over for collection. I have called the collections number in excess of 3 times, waiting for 20 minutes with no answer. My call to cellc 140 was terminated after being forwarded to a manager. Is it in cell c practice to not notify a client of hand over for collections, and to disconnect and hand over a paid up account? Is there someone I can contact regarding this without the call being disconnected or hopefully the call is answered?

Regardless of the time spent on the phone while cellc logs the debit order transaction which as agreed, pays outstanding balances, my lines, I am informed, are now permanently disconnected. Hours after the lines were reconnected as the difficulties with changing banking details were finally resolved, the lines were disconnected and passed onto the collections department as being unpaid?? No notification regarding this, and did no one check the history to see the payment authorisation and line reconnect, confirming that the outstanding balance was paid BEFORE permanently disconnecting the lines? Is it in CellC's General business practice to not inform or contact a client before doing this, or even checking the history to ensure that payment has been made before doing such?

I was contacted today by the collections department claiming an outstanding balance. I have manually authorised the settlement of the outstanding balance on the phone with cellc 3 times. After confirmation of receipt of payment, the lines were reconnected. 6 hours later, the lines were then permanently disconnected, without notice or query of any sort from cellc. I am still awaiting feedback as to why this occurred with no notice, on a confirmed settled account, or why a permanent disconnect was done, with the recorded history of difficulty I have had with the accounts.

There is still no feedback on why my accounts have been handled so poorly.

To date I am still awaiting a response from CellC as to why the 3 phone calls authorising the debit order were not honoured, and why after my lines were reconnected for being fully paid up were 6 hours later disconnected permanently with no notification. Now I have been handed for collection. I will never again use CellC due to the disgusting lack of customer service provided
