Paid cancellation costs but contract not cancelled

I wrote to Cell C several times and phoned them to obtain cancellation figures for my contracts. They eventually provided them and I immediately paid the amounts. Now months later they have not cancelled my contracts and they say I am in arrears. In addition they want me to start the process again. Surely they have on record the cancellation figures provided and they can clearly see the deposits made match. It is not like I could have magically pulled those cancellation figures out of my head. They have not cancelled the contract when the payments were made in line with numerous requests and instructions. I should not have to suffer as a result of their inability to process and finalise a simple cancellation.

Good morning Sean

Cancelling your contract should not be this frustrating. This is certainly not the service we wish to render to our customers. Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience.

We will ensure that this matter is sorted.

This is proving impossible. I have provided my contact details (email and phone number) but still cannot get this resolved. I have apparently been contacted several times but I have no missed calls? The number you have provided just rings continuously. I emailed asking for an alternative number or to resolve via email but now nobody is responding. The commitment you have made to try resolve this has not been upheld. Very frustrating and poor customer service

So to date I have still heard nothing. This is nuts. How hard can it be to get assistance to sort this out. Does anybody at CellC care about the customer?
