Overcharged and Never Refunded

<p>I had a Post Paid 100 Contract that was due for renewal at the end of July 2016. Since I didn’t like any of the deals at the time, I decided to rather cancel the contract. When I phoned to do so, I was told that I could move onto their new contract which would only cost me R19 pm and would include 50 minutes + 1G data, which I decided to take up.</p> <p> </p> <p>The plan was to move me over on 1 Aug. However, for whatever reason, this was never processed. When I phoned on the 1st to complain, a consultant said they could make a plan to switch me over immediately and that I would only pay the pro-rate amount equivalent to 1 day’s worth of my Post Paid 100 contract.</p> <p> </p> <p>I accepted this and the transfer happened. When I received my August bill, however, I noticed that I was charged R177. My understanding was that this should only have been R79 (R60 for GetMore + R19) + negligible amount for the 1 day pro-rata. The following month I was charged R100, which is also over by R20, before returning to the correct R79 since.</p> <p> </p> <p>I complained in Sep and was given a Case Number ( ********** 696), but nothing has happened. No communication whatsoever. When I tried to follow up recently, they couldn’t even find it on their system! Appalling service!</p> <p> </p>
