Outstanding account dilemma

my outstanding Cell C account was handed over without even informing me, Cell C was loading unauthorized debit orders on my account as well, the lady that's dealing with my account from the debt collectors side cannot provide me with an updated statement of the amount i am owing, i am going in circles and i want to settle and close this account but she doesnt even contact me, when requested. Please advise how is this possible? i made payments but i am still owing the original amount. No updates? no emails? i have requested the amounts to be sent but no response, and they keep calling me to demand payment but cannot provide me with a settlement amount?
