Complaint reference number ***
History of events in date order.. 9/2 I received a call from cell c call center offering me a great deal on a 24 month data bundle contract as I have been a client for over 20 years ( my existing contract was due to expire end April ) I accepted the deal at R68.00 p.m.
7/5 I received an e mail from cell c advising me that due to an error an incorrect contract was sent to me following that agreement. " sorry about the inconvenience and they attached a new agreement letter with no discount and amount to be paid R149.00 " (They could have checked their voice recording before sending me, but obviously this was not done)
9/5 Upon receiving the e mail I rep**** to cell c and stipulated that " I do not accept the contract at R149.00 " and will have no option but to cancel the debit/ stop order.
11/5 I received an e mail requesting my I.D or cell number 12/5 e mailed info to them ( not sure why this was requested as they were dealing with my account )
12/5 I sent an e mail advising them that my query had not been resolved ( as I got an e mail from CSI Survey requesting feedback )
13/5 Received an e mail requesting me to sign copy of contract I received in February.
13/5 I received an e mail sent to *** but the letter starts with " Dear Mrs Minette Du Plessis ". (Not even addressed to me, very rude)
14/5 I send an e mail querying why I am now addressed as Mrs Du Plessis. No response from them.
16/5 I send another e mail advising them that I am not Mrs Du Plessis and supply my cell no and I.D.no.
22/5 In the morning I went into cell c Bayside to try and get this query resolved and I was told by them that I must contact cell c Head Office direct and if I am not happy I must cancel the contract.
22/5 The afternoon I went back to cell c Bayside and asked them to please phone cell c head office and sort this matter out. After she had spoken to someone in head office she advised me that I could no longer cancel as I was not within the 7 day time frame and if I wanted to cancel I must pay R1788.00 to cancel( but she had told me earlier I could cancel and besides my e mail sent to them on 9/5 was within 2 days? The clerk was told by head office that it will take 24-48 hrs to listen to the recording and to sort out and gave a reference no ( *** )
27/5 I went back to Bayside as I had not heard anything. She contacted Head Office and was told it would take a further 12- 24 hours.
31/5 Still no word from cell c regarding the voice recording and my stop order gets taken off today.
I am not very happy with the service from cell c regarding my query. I am a pensioner and currently have another data contract with cell c and only accepted this one as it seemed like a good deal for 20 gigs of data.
Today, 2June and still I have heard nothing.
Please could you take this further and assist me in getting this rectified.
Warm regards Sylvia
