Not happy

I'm a young working guy who does not believe in credit, pay up front and that is it! I went to Cell to open a contract last week Sunday for the Samsung S5 on the smart chat 1gig. The guy told me everything is fine he would notify me when they get stock which would have been the following day, 4 days passed and didn't hear a word. I went to the store to find out what is happening and finally they got stock only for the guy to tell me that I do not qualify for the contract because I don't have a credit history??? Why didn't he tell me that on the day I opened the contract and don't understand why you need one if you can afford the contract! What made me upset even more is the phone I had to choose they didn't have stock of either! So I have to wait another week for a phone I didn't want in the 1st place and on a contract I will have no use of.
