Not CELL C but CELL ******* !!!

My contract expired , and was paid in full. Was contacted on the phone , got me to agree on a month-to -month DATA ONLY deal for R149 , thought it might be a good idea to keep account with them if I needed to get a phone again , WHAT A MISTAKE !! I was promised , on asking a few times , "no mam , it is month to month , you just need to give us a months notice , just call and cancell IT IS EASY " I have been struggling to cancell this contract for 2 months now , only to find out that everybody that's got a data only contract was automatically changed to a 24 month contract or something - I still don't know what I've got , BECAUSE apparently I was notified by sms , on that DATA ONLY number , that sim that I don't even have in a phone !!! It hasn't been used for months !!! HOW ARE THEY ALLOWED TO JUST AUTOMATICALLY CHANGE THE VERBAL CONTRACT I AGREED TO WITHOUT ME EVEN KNOWING ???? stay away from these calls , where everything sounds cheap and easy , if they get their hooks into you they will never let you go ! I now need to pay R2200 and something , to cancell the contract , I am going to stop the debit order , and they can take me to court .
