Non-existent support and still deducting money from my account for cancelled service! :@

I have cancelled my Fibre service (including the 'free' 1GB mobile data sim - which I was charged for) service with CellC on 30/08/2018 and received a cancellation confirmation via email and sms:

Your cancellation request was processed successfully and your contract will be terminated on 30/09/2018. For any queries, call 084143 option 2. Cell C.

I understood that there was a calendar month notice and I would be liable for payment until the end of September 2018, as state in the email and sms.

At the end of October money was deducted from my account from Cell C and I wrote an email explaining to them I cancelled and that they debit order should be reversed. Following a number of further emails, I never received a response from them. I contacted my bank to have the debit order reversed, which they did. Come the end of November, the same amount is deducted from my account again. I again wrote Cell C and received no response. I again requested my bank to reverse the debit order. No, a few days later, I just received another sms from my bank for a debit order from Cell C. This time for double the amount.

The only emails I receive from CellC are auto confirmations that they have received my support request and a consultant will contact me within 24 - 48 hours. Then once in a while I get an email stating that my issue was resolved and asking me to rate their service.

WHAT SERVICE? I'm being ignored and they are deducting money off my account for a service that was cancelled and cancellation confirmation received!

If you try phone them, you wait on hold forever! So that is also a useless option. A total for 7 emails later and still no response from Cell C.

The ironic thing is, the actual service (connectivity service - not support or after sales service) was very good. My reason for cancellation was to support a local ISP that could offer me a better deal. And that is where the horrible experience with Cell C started.

Be warned. Do NOT sign debit orders with Cell C. Do NOT authorise this company to deduct any money from your account! You will be sorry.
