No SMS from Courier Company

Hi upgraded my Cell C Contract. The Agent said that delivery would take 3 - 7 days, however, the courier company would SMS / Call me when they will make delivery. After following up with Cell C today, they have told me that they have tried 3 times to deliver but no one has been here. I have received absolutely no SMS or Call to say they would be delivering otherwise I would have stayed longer. This is completely unacceptable, the person I spoke to at Cell C would not even hear me out. She said that because it was the 3rd time that they are trying to deliver that it would be sent back and then resent out! This is absolutely ridiculous! How can you say you are going to send a SMS or Call before delivery and not do that!
