No policy received as yet

I took out an insurance for my contract phone in December it was also a hustle to do so i was told i will receive my policy and policy wording even 2day i have not received them., i also called to check if am covered i was told i am covered but i askd 4 my documents even now i don't hv them if i can not receive a simply policy will they even pay out in a cause of a claim?
