No payment holiday from Cell C during Covid-19

This is my second review regarding payment holiday during lock down. I am self employed and have been trying to get a payment holiday on my fibre account with no satisfaction. I can not provide letters from my employer, or payslips. I have send a bank statement on which it is clear that I have no income, and on the statement you can see that I get covid-19 relief from the bank(FNB). After many attemps and emails explaining that I am self employed I get this response via email.

Good day

Documents and information required.

1. An official letter from employer relating to COVID-19 lockdown period (27 March 2020 – 30 April 2020) the letter must have the following employee information:  An official company letterhead  Official date of issue  Name and surname  Employee number  Position/ Occupation  Department/ Reporting unit  COVID -19-lockdown impact reason  Official company contact person and contact number  Official signature 2. Provide documents to prove that you are not receiving an income during the COVID-19 lockdown period (27 March 2020 – 30 April 2020)  Certified bank statement and payslip relating to the COVID-19 lockdown period (27 March 2020 – 30 April 2020) 3. 6 months payment profile to be reviewed. 4. Collections will be in touch with the customer within 48 to 72 working hours to advise them whether relief is approved or denied and to make the necessary payment arrangements. 5. An AOD (Acknowledgement of Debt) process, where customers are requested to pay part of their arrears with their current monthly subscription, will be enforced should the payment holiday/relief be approved.

Regards Collection Queries

You are treating people with disrespect. We did not ask to be in this situation. You are making me feel like I am a ******** trying to ***** from you.

So after not helping me during this crucial time, now you won't release the line so Vodacom(who gives me 2 months free fibre) can activate my account because I owe you money for 1 month(R804) not as your latest statement states R1811.01 for services not received. What don't you people understand of lockdown and not having an income. My kids are so far behind with schoolwork because of arrogant company. I used to sell Cellc to all my friends telling them what great service I get. Up to lockdown. Never again. Keep the line. I will get LTE. ****** pathetic inhumane company. Hope you close down soon!
