No help from Cell C
Cell C. The most useless service provider ever. After our traumatic experience of being held up at gun point in our home yesterday, I went into Cell C this morning to do a sim swap and they couldn't do it because my ID didn't match the number they had on record. The ******* have obviously already done something to the phone to achieve this. I was then told I can do a sim swap over the phone. This is now not possible because I couldn't answer their security questions, which are: How much did I last top my phone up with? I wasn't sure as I top up my phone, my partners phone and our wi-fi. The 2nd question was: who are the last 2 people I called on my phone. If I had my phone I would be able to answer both those questions, but after the trauma of being ******, we made many calls from our landline and I honestly can't remember who the last 2 calls were to from my cell phone. Now our business loses the number. They can check our facebook page, our website and even the police. But Cell C is not interested.

My phone was ******, so I couldn't answer any of the questions. We had a traumatic experience and it is impossible to remember those 2 questions. Further more, we have since discovered that the cashier at PEP where we bought the sim card, put some other persons ID into the RICA form. My partner had the same problem, but VODACOM sorted her out.
