New phone only last 7 days

I bought a Sony M5 Dual sim from Cell C on the 10th Dec 2015. A week later on the evening of the 17th the phone started giving problems. It randomly stops reading my sim cards and the phones randomly switches off and does not want to switch on again. <br> <br> I went to Cell C the next day to ask for my money back but they informed me that the 7 day out of box warranty expired and can only send the phone to Sony for repairs. According to them the repair will take about 21 days.<br> <br> What am I to do now? I do not have another phone to use and I am already on vacation. Must I go buy another phone? Who is going to pay back the expenses I have to undergo to get the phone fixed?
